THANK YOU FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL EXPERIENCE.. MAY GOD BLESS YOU... WE VISITED THE CROSS LAST WEEK .....THANK YOU A friend told us about this website. It is absolutely awesome! We definitely plan to make a visit to see this for ourselves. Thank you! while on our vacation we came across the cross and we will never forget the peace and happiness that came upon us , knowing that as big as this world is ,we are never alone. rick casas and family. p.s thank you.... I departed CA in Sept. 2002 on a tour of the U.S. I traveled 8,000 miles and took in 24 states in 30 days. We have a beautiful nation but the cross was a highlight of the trip and touched my spirit in a manner that defies description. This memorial is definitely on "holy ground". I was blessed to meet the man and his wife who had the vision for this project. They are very humble. This is a wonderful ministry to all of us. If you have seen the site you know what I mean. If you haven't seen it yet it is worth traveling any distance to see it. Thank you all for your obedience to our Lord. I Was told about the Cross by a friend that I walk with at the local park in Houston, TX. I plan to visit the cross one day soon. God Bless all involved in the construction. Kim L. Carter Houston, TX

My husband and I was driving back home to Mississippi from California. We had been on vacation for 15 days. We seen the cross from VERY far away and had to see it up close. We have taken pictures of the whole thing and we are going to share them with our church. Hopefully we can get the church to plan a trip to come up and see it for themselves. That will be a great trip for all and a blessing. Thank you to the ones who have taken the time to build and maintain this great blessing for everyone who comes to see it. Seem like the closest place to heaven on earth is here in Groom Texas. Beautiful and inspiring! This is an awesome work!! I have been told about the Cross, and I have seen pitchers of it, and my prayer is that the seeing of this Cross will help people to understand the true meaning of the Cross, and to value it's meaning. Thanks to all that had a part in making of this CROSS. Thank You and God Bless. James Ratliff Thanks for the wonderful reminder to all who see it. Nancy - Wisconsin This is a beautiful cross and it reaches out to you. Thank you for sharing this with everyone..... This is my first time to see this and it is so pretty. I just lost my best friend and this help me so think you for putting this on the web site. hope you will do more so I thank you so much. thanks miss Vickie We were on a difficult journey and at 3:00 in the morning we saw the cross in the distance. As we drove past the cross my husband and I cried, as we felt the cross was put in our path by the Lord to give us strength, guidance, and assurance that our journey was the correct answer to our family crisis. When we returned home the next day we were able to stop at the cross and give thanks for all of the blessings the Lord provides, including the blessing of this wonderful cross. Thank you. I just visited the site in person this past week, and it was awesome. Living in Amarillo, I have driven past probably a 100 times and watched the construction from the beginning, however; nothing can compare to standing at the base of the cross and seeing the magnitude, and massiveness of it. Taking the walk along the stations, walking up the steps of Calvary, enter the tomb, it is a must visit for all Christians and non-Christians alike. The most impressive station, except for the cross itself is the tribute to the unborn. As a Christian one cannot visit without getting the lump in the throat, the tug at the heart, yet also feel the joy, knowing of the resurrection.....I will return, next time in the hours of darkness, and will anxiously be awaiting the completion of areas still under construction... As a truck driver I have been viewing the cross from the highway for a long time. Even when my husband is driving I always seem to wake up in time to view the cross...but finally today I stopped and took pictures of all the stations, and the awesome statues of the representation, of what Christ endured for us, the lowly sinner...And most inspiring is standing below the enormous cross puts one thing to mind....When all of your burdens are laid at the cross of Jesus....they become overpowered by its presence, they become small, as I was underneath its grandeur. Deb Hays I was there to see your cross one cold rainy morning about a month ago. I wanted to linger for a long time just in this awesome surrounding, but it was too cold. This cross is something that should draw all believer's & non-believer's near. This is too much to explain in words. You just have to see it to experience what it you feel! May God bless the man who did this work, the one who donated the land, & all who have worked on it & are giving of their time to keeping it beautiful. In Christ Love, Linda Weakley we visited there about three times.. we will go again.. god bless you all.. winona and bill from Dayton TX we always go traveling for our working.. We came upon this beautiful shrine quite by surprise last summer during our travels. We have been to shrines all over the world and this is one of the loveliest. We were happily surprised. Such a memorable thing to be driving along and find such an oasis of peace. Elaine Thomas Syracuse sienna verbois 3755 joor rd baton rouge la 70814 just browsing the internet and happen to run across this at my husband's request said he say this in person. just awesome, that is all I can say , would love to see this in person one day. It is a beautiful retreat. Fran Marsom I'm so glad we took the opportunity to stop. We could just as easily driven on by. It was such a blessing that we didn't. The Cross is wonderful. I'll definitely recommend it to anyone who is traveling that way. I used to be a truck driver with my ex-husband back in the early 90s. I remember every time we passed the cross I felt a spiritual lifting. I finally stopped by after Thanksgiving this year. My husband, 9 1/2 yr. old daughter and I traveled to Amarillo for the Thanksgiving holidays. We passed the cross on Wed. going and I felt so thankful for Jesus and the cross. I promised my daughter that we would stop on the way back home to Arkansas. As we loaded up to travel home my daughter asked "We are going to stop at the cross aren't we"? I replied "Oh, yes". On Sunday when we stopped my daughter (who goes to a Christian Academy School) was so amazed at everything we saw. She went around all the stations taking pictures. The stations are awesome! When I walked up the steps of Calvary I felt the Holy Spirit and went down on my knees at the foot of Jesus on the Cross and prayed thanking God for Jesus dying on the Cross so that we may have eternal life. I was able to get a great sunset picture with the three crosses. I had never seen the shroud before and we were so amazed. I overheard another visitor telling some of the story about the shroud which was very interesting. I thank everyone who had the vision to put together this Sacred Holy Ground. I will look forward to stopping in the future to see what else is added. God Bless, in Christ's Love, Karen Mumau, Nashville, Arkansas My husband and I saw the cross 4 or 5 years ago. It was awesome then, and I anxiously await our next trip west so we can stop again. Carol, Arkansas My husband and I visited the cross before we gave up driving long haul in 1998. We watched it go up as we drove long haul for several years and I-40 was one of the main routes we traveled. I was impressed with it and have never forgotten it. We had friends here this last week from Arizona and they were traveling home I-40 so I told them to make sure they stopped. She just sent me your website. Thank you and God bless you. these pictures are up-lifting and make me proud to call myself a Christian. I hope one day when I start a family I can take my children to see it in person and hope it has a great affect on their life as the picture did for me. 17, tara little Tennessee Hi.. we stopped at the cross on our way home after the Thanksgiving holiday.. it really made an impact on us we are church members at the Licking Church of Christ. in Missouri. but seeing something like this really brought it to reality I think everyone should see it and experience it! We have told everyone about it and are giving them the e-mail address.. This is a blessing to all. The Gibson family. me and my parents stopped at the cross on 01-02-03 on our way back from Mississippi we saw the cross from the road and turned around it was really neat thanxs.brittney We stopped by Friday, Jan. 3 and were so impressed by the Cross and the rest of the setting. It was a totally spiritual experience which we followed up with a visit to St. Gregory's University in Shawnee. We took photos of the Stations and will share them with our friends. We had driven by the Cross on previous trips, but never took time to stop until our recent trip a couple of weeks ago. We are so glad we stopped and we learned so much about the Cross that we did not realize. Of course, I had to visit the website when we returned home. It was a cold, snowy day when we stopped. We look forward to stopping again in the near future and see the completion of the additions that are currently underway. I recommend to anyone driving by . . no matter how a big a hurry you think you are in . . . take time to stop and visit this site up close. I am sure you will be touched in some way you least expect. God Bless . . . . I learned of this Cross from a friend. I am most interested in visiting some day. May God Bless all of mankind! J. Sherman I saw this stunning site as I was driving back from the east coast in the summer of 2001. It is truly an inspiring site to see from afar and then to drive so close. God is great! trvlnmn/az with out the cross , and Christ dying on it , shedding his blood , for our sins, we would not have a chance for heaven>>>>>>>>>>>>> Praise God for this beautiful place and for your ministry. I was traveling across country this week with friends when we happened to see the cross way down the freeway and just had to stop. I am so thankful that we did, but then am also sorry that I we couldn't stay longer. I am passing your web site on to many others. May God continue to bless you in your work at the cross and with your ministry. -- LINDA it was very beautiful and I would like to go again and take my family RODRIQUEZ AND VENEGAS FAMILY could see this magnificent sight for miles when my trucker husband and I were returning from Colorado. was drawn to it, it was still in the building stages, not all of the stations were built. this must have been in 1999. always stayed on my mind. when I found my sister and her husband were heading to col. told them they had to stop and see it. she just called and told me they had stopped, and that how it was a sight to behold. she took videos, can't wait to see it. hope to make a trip back soon. may god bless and keep all the workers save and in god's hands. diana and jay rayne, la. Hi I am very honored to visit your web site. I think it wonderful that your statues depict the life of Christ. I think a lot of the schools should visit the website. They could find a way to teach the things that matter in life and death. Maybe we wouldn't have so many kids on drugs if they only knew what Jesus did for them. I am a retired teacher myself. I now work at my church with the youth. I is all in our youth. If we don't reach them when they are young we will completely loose them. With my experiences while teaching, the parents around here are not doing such a good job. I downloaded the stations of the cross and awesome views and showed them to my husband and three teenagers during our evening family worship. They were impressed and we enjoyed discussing the wonderful blessings from our Lord Jesus. Thank you for this blessing. We were really touched by God's spirit. Continue on with your ministry! - The Ramos Family I visited the Cross in December 2002 and was truly amazed at the entire site. It was truly a day to remember, and I pray for blessings over all those involved in the implementation and process of bringing all this to pass. God Bless.

Apache777 Tulsa Oklahoma We wept in awe the first time we saw The Cross that fateful night. We wept when we visited THE CROSS that beautiful fall day. The Cross was silhouetted against storm clouds in the North Texas sky. To say our visitation changed our lives is an understatement. It gave purpose, and a goal that literally transformed who we were and why we were here. God bless you Mr. Thomas . You will not know the true worth of this undertaking, till you walk the streets of Heaven and hear the stories of those who would never have made it there, without The Cross being built. This is a wonderful thing and in these times of terror and wars, we need to be bring ourselves closer to the Lord. It seems that God is being eliminated from so many things, particularly our schools. Our children need to hear the word of God and be able to sing his praises. This site is wonderful and you will surely be rewarded for your labors ! I am A member of the Church of Christ in parker Colorado and have visited the site in Groom, Texas on 2 different occasions. I find it to be a very Marvelous site and have recommended my Church friends and fellow workers to see it and experience the site when they are passing that way. I find it to be a wonderful way to remind folks who Jesus is and what he did for each of us . We were blessed to see this wonderful Cross this summer. We were traveling from New Mexico and there it was looming ahead of us. We made pictures from our car and placed them in our vacation album. Beside the pictures we wrote that God is Love and He is everywhere and if anyone wonders about God's bountiful Love they have but to see this beautiful Cross. We had no idea where the Cross was located and in Our Daily Bread there was an devotional about it and told us of its location. I immediately went to the internet and found it and am now sharing the information with everyone. God is Love and I thank Him for all He does for us and the privilege of being able to see this Cross and having the wonderful pictures. Thank you building the Cross and believe me no one can pass it by and wonder if there is a God. He Lives and that is for sure. God Bless. Always, Bill & Bonnye McKinney 2771 Austin Road Jena, LA 71342 As a trucker, my fellowship with God is sometimes challenging. Each time I pass by this most beautiful site, tears well in my eyes and I am again reminded of the Comforter being ever-present in our lives. God bless all who have made this monument possible.... I had wanted to stop at The Cross on several occasions passing through, but on our return trip from my youngest daughters memorial services we made the time. As Breathtaking as it is from driving by it on I-40 it is even more Breathtaking to visit and see all the stations and think of the Sacrifice that God made for each and every one of us that will allow Him into our hearts and lives. The Cross is such a Blessing for all to see. This is a Great Ministry.

Shirley Holland, Church of Christ, Bellflower, CA I was there a few weeks ago on my way to be with my brother in Arkansas before he had an emergency open heart surgery. As we were traveling I was trying to pray for my brothers surgery and was consumed with worry and fatigue so much that I couldn't concentrate. I was becoming frustrated when I looked up to see a bright shining light into the Heavens and then I saw your Beautiful Giant Cross. We were in a hurry to make it to my brothers side before the surgery so, we did not stop, and I prayed...... "okay, God, even though I couldn't concentrate on talking with you, you reached out of no where on a dark secluded highway to let me know you are there, I prayed for peace and my brothers health and our safety traveling and I promised myself we would stop back by there on the way home to California. So we did, a week and a half later. What a wonderful thing you have done there......I imagine their are thousands of stories just like mine. Thank you for letting God use you as his lamp unto the world. While I was in your gift shop, you said you would be putting out a 2004 calendar and I would love to order one, but don't see it on your order form. Please send me information on how I might get one. I also think it would be nice to have a 2003 to send to my brother along with the story of what a miracle God sent to me, through "The Cross" on our travels to see him before his heart surgery, If you still have any 2003 calendars available please let me know. Thank you again for your service to this mission. God Bless you and yours. Janice Thomason I got to visit the site on our way back from AZ. I lost contact with her as I couldn't remember her last name. Later I found a paper with her name written on it. I e-mailed her and she e-mailed me back with this site included. Each time I visit this site my heart breaks when I remember what our Savior sacrificed so that we could have eternal life. This site is such a witness. I've since told many of my friends about it and will continue to do so. This site is a reminder that Christ is soon to come. Wish I could express more of what I feel. Thanks so much for the work and vision that God gave in bringing it to past. Vicki D. Berry The cross was a beautiful blessing made for all of the people in the United States, let it be stood up as long as it can be, and let everyone's prayers and blessings come true. God did a whole, whole, whole lot of stuff for everyone and all of the people should be proud of what he can do and/or what he has done for everyone in the past hundreds of years. Everyone should try their best to visit this wonderful place that they have done for our Lord Jesus Christ, because it is a beautiful place to go and see. Keep on doing your good and hard work on it because it sure does look good and it means a lot to a lot of the people out in this world, and whatever you do don't destroy it, because it is a wonderful blessing for all of us and a lovely place to go and visit and pray to him anytime and/or whenever we need him. How moving it was, and that when you observed each station it was like you could see everything taking place. Also that just looking at these statues made tears come to their eyes, and even just looking at this website made tears fall down my cheeks as well. Tony Banfield, Jr. - Friendswood, Texas We were there Sat Aug 2 the lord touched every inch of our souls body mind and heart Elva jean Balke and Steve Tower From concord NC we plan to get married at the cross My wife and I were inspired beyond belief when we drove by your cross a few weeks ago. The only thing we have seen to compare to it are the giant farm animal statues along the freeway in North Dakota. These however were representations of living creatures, rather than depictions of methods ancient cruelty, so they failed to inspire us like your lovely cross did. My husband and I were traveling to Oklahoma like all of our many trips, But this time I said "hey on our way back let's stop, we always pass this huge cross but never stop." Only God knew why. See we were on our way to court, because of a child support mix up. Well all went well. On the way back we stopped and my husband and I were so overwhelmed by the site. I started crying because of all that God had done for us that weekend. And not only that I knew exactly why we were suppose to have stop on the way back. You see we had to stop to give our Lord And Savior all the glory!!!. He had just gotten us out of a 10,000 debt. The Cross itself was so AWESOME. All the stations were too. That day God reminded me of the reasons why I live today and every day, FOR HIM. Well thanks for the wonderful experience that day. My favorite thing was the tomb, but only because it empty. I know Our Lord Jesus Christ LIVES!!!! love N.H. Shalom... We were traveling through Texas back to California last week. When from a distance we saw what looked like a huge cross in the horizon. When we got closer we noticed that the placed looked very interesting, so we doubled back and drove in to what was to be one of the most amazing and moving experiences in a long time. After getting over the shock of just how large the cross was. We walked around the stages of our Messiah's journey to Calvary. The tomb for all the unborn babies murdered with our Lord holding an unborn baby in His palm brought us to tears. Thank you so much for building this amazing site. We were honored to donate to this moving experience. Shalom, Rod and Gloria from California Hi. I saw the cross and it was fabulous. Thanks so much for the inspiration. God bless all of you. Harry & Cindy Dover,Ohio We were at the Cross in Mid-September. It was AWESOME!!! Please keep your website up and running. My sister and her room mate came to visit the site while traveling from California to KY. They were awestruck at the soul wrenching site. I wept when they showed me the photos they had taken and the gift photo album they bought for me. I wish that I could send a donation to help maintain this for others to see the gift you have given to others in honor of Jesus' gift to us. Praise God. May God bless you always. He was in such awe even though he's been unsure of his faith that as he left he asked God into his heart.( He met a preacher and his wife before he left which also helped.) He called me back in Missouri to share his good news. This is truly awesome. Thank God and thank you!!! T. Stone It was actually in the fall of 1997 when I drove by this glorious cross for the first time. I had just graduated from college and happened to be driving cross country with my mom. I didn't know exactly what God's plans were for my life and at the time I had many questions. I was driving and asking my mom about the rapture and when she thought it might happen. I remember the moon was out that night and it looked so big and round in the sky. It had this beautiful bright orange color to it. When I looked ahead, I saw what looked like a cross hanging out of the sky. It was glowing and I asked my mom if she was seeing what I was seeing. My foot started shaking against the gas pedal and I thought, "Is this it? Is Jesus coming back now?" If he was, I definitely would not have been ready at that time. As we drove closer, the cross got bigger and bigger and I could hardly believe my eyes. We pulled over and just looked at it and of course, couldn't help but see the other onlookers. This was such a powerful experience for me and I knew at that moment I decided to follow God's will for my life and not my own. Thank you for building this cross! We visited the Cross on 3/17/04 while on our way from a care taking job in AR to a management couple position in AZ. We were traveling with our 3 year old. We were so overwhelmed with the Cross and the site and prayed for our continued safe travels and future job. Upon arrival in AZ we found that the position no longer existed due to the owner being in the hospital. We prayed and were full of joy and two days later located another couple management position that includes our housing and it was also in AZ! The awesome power of Jesus at work! This is a beautiful site and such a huge reminder of how much God loves us, I just want to say thank you for all you've done and this continues to do for our Lord Jesus , this truely shows the love and sacrifice He has given us. The atmosphere was so real it felt like I was actually walking on Holy Ground!!! I am a deacon in the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City assigned to the Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Sayre, Oklahoma. At the Suggestion of one of the ladies of our parish we decided to make a pilgrimage to the Cross, completing our observation of Devine Mercy week. After our 8 Am mass on Devine Mercy Sunday we made the eighty-mile drive, eight of us in all. I believe it was the most inspiring experience we could have chosen. As others have said, I felt as tho I was walking on Holly Ground. The stations are awesome; the Divine Mercy Fountain is absolutely beautiful. Beside the cross it's self, the most moving to me was the Tomb For The Unborn. I could go on and on, so as inadequate as it is, THANK YOU. May I also say that the "Blessed Marry Restaurant" in Groom, Texas is a must, and not because of the food alone. In Jesus' Love, Tim and Maureen and son Christopher Boylan May 2, 2004 This is wonderful and beautiful. God works wonderfully in you all. My son and myself drove from Wisconsin to Arizona a few times and our highlight of the 2000 miles is visiting this peasful ground. I have told so many of my friends that they have to take the trip to visit here. This is something worth seeing and they probably could'nt wait to go again. Thank you Jesus and Thank You All I THINK THAT IS REALLY COOL AND THAT IT TELL PEOPLE ALL AROUND THE WOULD THAT JESUS REALLY DID DIE ON THE CROSS AND THAT HE DID DIE FOR OUR SINS. THE CROSS TELLS ME THAT HE LIVED AND DIED AND ROSE AGAIN! I THINK THAT U SHOULD ADD SOME COLOR ONTO IT AND IF IS MEANS ABOUT THE WHITE DOVE OR SOMETHING THAN DONT, BUT THAT IS WHAT I HAVE TO SAY. BRITTANY We were on Vacation on our way to Oklahoma & Arkansas coming from Sacramento,CA when we saw the "AWESOME BEAUTIFUL WHITE CROSS" from the Freeway. We passed it by thinking "We're driving & all of a sudden you see this "GIANT WHITE CROSS" & you wonder who put it there & why ? It's so SPECTACULAR" you can't miss seeing it ! And what a GREAT IDEA it was to put it there. Anyway, on the way back from Arkansas & Oklahoma we stopped & I took pictures of the "CROSS" & the FIGURINES of Jesus Christ. Each step I took made me more & more interested in seeing everything that was there. The "CROSS" & ALL the Figurines of CHRIST & The WaterFall was so "UNSPEAKABLE" to express the UnDying LOVE Jesus has for US ! I also went by the WaterFall & put my Hands in the "PRECIOUS WATER". This was the VERY BEST part of my Vacation. I Hope & Pray I can visit there again real soon! I Thank everyone that had a Part of Making this Possible, for all of us to SEE & ENJOY.God Bless You! Sincerely, Paula & James Pugh This is a awsome site. Almost as good as being in Groom and seeing the statues in person. Thank you for a wonderful experience when I stopped by on 5/6/04 jojo@oz-ar.net This is one of the most beautiful shrines I have seen in this country. Very inspiring. Joy Conklin Artesia, NM While on vacation traveling Rt. 40, I saw the cross. Was really glad to see it and also happy for the witness that it gives with all the people trying to remove menting of God and the Bible from our lives. astclair11@yahoo.com It was such a wonderful experience. We saw the one in Groom and the one in Missouri as we travelled from AZ to Indiana. You could feel the presence of God and all the pain he went through for US. It was a wonderful experience to share with the kids and let them see first hand. THANK you for taking the time and expense to erect this wonderful monument. E-Mail cjerryann@yahoo.com; I was at the cross in 2002, and saw everything but the tomb, which was not done at that time, but they were working on it. I have saw some pictures of the tomb on the web, it looks great. I can hardly wait to get back out there to see it all again, hoping to this year, would love to come each year, but I live in the State of Kentucky. My neighbor just returned from your part of the country and they told me of this very beautiful roadside attraction, I don't do much traveling but I sure would like to see this place someday. She would like to go back too. Maybe one of these days I will make it there, very beautiful pictures on this site. wandaelwell@hotmail.com Last month while traveling home, my brother and I stopped and spent time visiting the large cross site. I was in awe at the realism of the life size crosses and Golgotha as well as the empty tomb. Thank you for that oasis in the Texas plaine. I saw the cross from 5 miles away and truly was blessed. I have a friend heading down to Dallas for a visit, and have told her about your cross park. They are going by way of I-40 just to see your park. Thank you again for it. I pray many people come to know God through it/ Siouxanne Mease RN coobrn@earthlink.net Amazing work and Praise be to God for everything comes from Him! "Let everything that has breath Praise the Lord" Psalm 150:6 We visited 'The Cross' on May 11, 2004 and couldn't believe the immensity of it. I couldn't wait to get home and find the WEB site. Seeing how it was put together was unbelievable. I was happy to see that it was sponsored by the Knights of Columbus. Thanks to the Thomases for their generosity. marihelm@edge.net WOW.....a friend stopped and took a small video that he brought back for us to see. I am so taken by this. May God Bless You and Yours..... great Way to start the day aerochet@sbcglobal.net S Pasienski I remember as a child traveling on the highway near by. Now there will something to look forward to for the weary traveler I visited the cross about two weeks ago, it was...uplifting. Thank you so much. Thank you so much to all of those of you who are involved in any way with this cross near Groom, TX. I cannot tell you enough how much I appreciate this effort. Our world is in such an upheaval that a project of this magnitude is needed to make us realize just how we each need to know the Lord Jesus Christ in our own lives. All of you are so blessed to be able to make each and every one of us realize where we each stand in God's redeemption. I cannot explain what happened to me that day last week when I walked around each station. It was so inspiring to me things can only have changed within me for the good. May God Bless your efforts---we will be back!!!! Carol and John Pritchett 206 Manor Blvd Fairhope, AL 36532 My husband and I have passed your beautiful Cross several times. We did not know that there was a place to stop and view it close up. Now that I do know about it, the very next time I am near there I will stop. It is a wonderful sight to see, even if you are just passing by. firstmrst@aol.com That was the most Blessed thing we have seen in a very long time! I think that it really puts things into perspective. Cheryl Rainer cannerainer@yahoo.com I have been blessed with the opportunity to visit the cross several times. Each time I get such a feeling of awe....that my Savior died so that I might have life eternal. I have knelt, wept, sang praises and just looked in awe as I visited Calvary's Hill. The magnitude of the cross at Groom reminds me of the magnitude of sins that have been covered by the cross. I have also been able to bring others over the last several years to visit the cross in Groom. God Bless your ministry...how awsome it is and how awesome He is. It teaches us that if we just obey the Lord in what he has for us to do....He will give the blessing. Keep on keeping on for the Lord. IT WAS THE MOST CALM AND PEACEFUL TIME OF MY TRUCK DRIVING EXPERIENCE. WHEN WE FIRST SET EYES ON THAT AWESOME CROSS IT WAS THE MOST WONDERFUL, SPIRITUAL FEELING EVER! I HOPE TO VISIT AGAIN VERY SOON. MY HUSBAND TELLS MY IT'S JUST AS BEAUTIFUL, AND SPIRITUAL AS IT WAS THE FIRST TIME WE SAW IT. GOD BLESS YOU FOR THIS WONDERFUL GIFT. JIM AND ANITA KEENER My Mother and I just returned from a trip to Tennessee. Like so many other folks we have driven past the Cross many times but this was our first time to stop. I have a dear friend with cancer and wanted to stop and pray for her. I felt such peace at this site and have never felt closer to our maker. I want to thank the lovely ladies that greet you there, they tell you all about the building of the site and make you feel very welcome. I will stop yearly now, it was a pleasure to be in such a peaceful place. This is definately a very sacred place. I felt it the moment my husband and I got out of the truck we were in. Thank you so much for this place. I was saved a long time ago and had been away from God and my church for some time and when I saw this and felt the electricity around it I knew instantly what God wanted from me. Thank you for being there and following God's command for you to build this place. I rededicated my life to Christ standing on the steps of Calvary on June 22,2004 just after sunset. There was no better place than there. God bless you and all involved with this wonderous place. I pray that on my next visit I am able to bring my daughters to see it. We must be reminded of Him when our men and women fight for the freedom of others. He died for all us on the cross. This is an amazing site. Jacksonville, Florida Faith My e-mail address is: jasminelady-80@msn.com My wife and I were taking our much anticipated trip along Interstae 40 to seem many of the unique sights along old Rt. 66. We saw so many great things, but NONE that moved us nearly as much as the giant cross and sculptures at Groom, TX. We had to pull off of the road (near dusk) to investigate this magnificent sight. As we looked at the various stages of the crucifixion, we would touch the statues of Jesus, wishing in our hearts that it was really Him and that we could have somehow provided comfort to Him in His darkest hour. It was an incredibly moving experience for us both, and I expect that we will be traveling up there again from Austin just to see it again. May God bless those that were inspired to erect this as a love gift to our precious Saviour. Dennis and Teresa Ceder Austin, TX I think this ministry is great, my husband and I have stopped by a few times and I just love the feeling it gives. Last time we were there was last May and we met a young lady that was having memories of a still born son that she had had. I have also went through the same experience and I gained a feeling of peace when I was there. My husband was born and raised in Amarillo, Tx was transferred to Kansas by the Santa Fe railroad and if he hadn't we never would have met and I would have never seen the wondrous things that have been built there. Thanks & God Bless, Vonnita J. Elliott Topeka,Kansas Kscollegegirl44@hotmail.com My Granddaughter & I were on our way to Oklahoma from California when we saw the cross and when we came back home we took the time to stop and I am so thankful we did anyone who sees this beautiful sight has to be touched by it it only made me want to draw even closer to our wonderful savior. I will visit again. Thank you Stacy Yannazzo from Humble Texas syannazzo@marykay.com We visited you last Sunday morning. We had not had prayer before leaving our motel room, we stopped at the cross to have our travel prayer. We did not know that we would be even more blessed than we had anticipated. We feel that the Lord had us NOT pray at the motel so that we would discover the true blessing that HE had anticipated us finding at your location. I am so grateful that you have done this for all of us. It was such a blessing to have visited your location. It is my prayer that ALL the people on this whole planet earth visit you and that NO ONE will be left "a lost one" when our LORD comes back to claim HIS. Wouldn't that be a blessing!!!! Satan is trying to make it, right now, so that I cannot complete this by causing my left arm to hurt. I am NOT going to let him, though. I have shared, with others in our hometown,of our blessing at visiting HIS/your sight. One of the ladies in my Sunday School class wants my husband and I to share our testimony,of our trip to your sight, with the rest of our Sunday School class. My boss, who is from Canada and a Cathlic, told me that,at the age of 15 yrs. old to age 16 years old, he was taught the Stations of the Cross. I would like to be kept up with the progress of the completion of the gift shop, etc. if it is at all possible. My e-mail address is: frannies2001@yahoo.com Thank you so much for your time. I visited the Cross with friends while on our way to the Grand Canyon. The peace and joy that filled our hearts while we were on this holy ground was unimaginable. May God continue to bless everyone who visits such an awesome sight. From LA I visited the Cross on May 30th 2004 and had no idea such a place existed. I was traveling back to New Jersey from New Mexico and stopped. I was so moved and I prayed hard for my nephew to come home from Baghdad. He has finally made it after 14 months! I love talking about the cross and showing my pictures. Thank you for having such a place! juderow@msn.com Hi I was doing a bit of cleaning and found the flyer that the attendant passes out when you visit the Cross, and I finally visited the website. I've passed the Cross a million times, it seems, in my travels for work. (I live in OKC, but I do most of my work in W. Texas, NM, and Colorado.) I finally stopped one cold and windy day in March. I was profoundly touched. Not so much by the sheer size of it, although I know that tons (literally!!) of work went into it, but by the Memorial to the Unborn that was there. Of course, the nearly life-sized Stations were wonderful too. Heck, the whole thing is just great! I wish you the best of luck in your ministry, and I have included you in my Rosary intentions. God Bless, and thank you! Chet Kelly lonevoice@catholicweb.com breathtaking!! ugly@ctaz.com My girls (10&4) and I were traveling from Fairfax, Ok. back to EL Paso Tx. When we saw the cross for the first time we were amazed by it's beauty. We were recently out to Groom, TX. And the sight was amazing , it is so neat what all they have done. I can't wait to view it again. God Bless You All . The cross and your work are amazing. It was one of my mothers favorite places on this earth, though she did not live to see it completed she was amazed each and every time she saw a new addition. I can feel her next to me each and every time I visit the cross to check on its newest addition. From my mother and my family thanks for giving us a little touch of "HEAVEN ON EARTH"..RICK MORRIS AND FAMILY TXANGEL23@JUNO.COM I really want to Thank God for giving you the idea to build this awesome cross. I visited not long ago and when I got out of my car I felt the most wonderful peace come over me. Back years ago, when I was much younger, I was forced to have an abortion. When I went to the tomb for the unborn I began to think about the abortion and why it had to happen the way it did. I felt as if God was there speaking right to me telling me he forgives me and that it is all going to be ok. I have been blessed two children in my life and I thank God for those gifts. I was once told if God gives you a gift you should love it and take care of it. I now know that he could have chose not to give me another chance at motherhood because of me not taking care of the first gift he gave me. I talk to people ( young girls ) that are thinking about having abortions and try to talk them out of it. I let them know about all the people in the world that would love a child but are unable to have them. I just hope and pray that what I tell these girls makes a difference. Thank you- J. D. trouble7371@hotmail.com I have had the opportunity to visit the Cross a few times, each time I am amazed at the changes, you guys have an awesome vision and I know that God will provide the funds. It was early morning & still somewhat dark. It was also foggy & with the lights shining on it it looked like it went straight up to Heaven. I will never forget that, it was so beautiful. I've been there a couple of times since either to or from Ohio. There is another one that looks the same from the hi-way in Effingham, IL. Was that one built by the same people? I was very unsure of such a huge step in my life, seeing the cross and stopping to look at all the stations and the shroud gave me some hope to continue without fear, I knew that the lord would never give me more than I could handle and that sometimes bearing the worst (like our crisis) is a lesson to be learned. Thank you for such a spiritually uplifting experience. Your WEBSITE ROCKS TOO!!!! While visiting family in Pampa, TX, We saw this wonderful site and stopped to visit. This is truly a fantastic place. God Bless you. Tommy & Sandy Fergerson sandygirl36@yahoo.com We were so amazed at this structure and statues. We would like to know more about who the sculturer was and whose idea the original cross was. It is great. God has blessed many through your obediance to HIM! Timothy and Kathleen Oerman, Waynesboro, Georgia koerman@bellsouth.net My brother-in-law & sister-in-law, shared their visit to the cross with me, I can't wait to come & visit. Thank God that some places aren't afraid of showing their faith and sharing with others. To the politicians of Groom: please don't ever let the opinion of a few effect the showing of the cross. Very beautiful and inspirational. A wonderful way to proclaim your love of the Lord to thousands. gatornana1@aol.com Having seen this page forwarded to me from a very sweet lady and family friend. My wife and I had just returned from evening worship service when checking the mail this wonderful witness to Jesus opened to thankful hearts that caring people provided this permanent picture of Christian love. Thank you... artmary42@kon-x.com I was reminded how much the hand of God is upon Steve Thomas as I looked at this web site again! It says in the word that many are called but few are chosen. This is a vessel of the Lord that has been chosen for the Father's Plans and Purposes for this hour and I praise God for him and his family! May the blessings of the Lord continue to overtake him and may the Lord's Face continue to shine upon him! In His Lavished Love and Infinite Grace, Mindy Samblanet (Naples, Florida) We just came through Groom, TX. and stopped at the cross. It was so beautiful. What a blessing. We hope to come back sometime and visit again. It was thoroughly a refreshment for our souls for our trip was because of a death in the family. Thank you for being such a blessing. Pmiles@direcway.com My dad sent me pictures and I thought it was wonderful. But last week I got to see it in person and it is truely breath taking. How wonderful..........thank you. faithful2jc1976@yahoo.com fgarcia@cswnet.com I was coming back from the Lubbock prison, I had just met a 25yr. old half brother, whom I did not know he existed, until two weeks ago, when someone called me to tell me; that he is in jail and is critically ill-with liver cancer, stage four, and wanted to meet me! Oh, my God! How my life changed! My husband was driving me back, I was so emotionally affected, that I did not even see the cross. I was crying, and my husband, said "Look, look at that cross!" I put up my head and asked him if we could stop to see it. We did, and we wondered at the site for about two hours, after we left there, I felt conforted, and I realized, once again, HOW GREAT GOD IS!! Thank you, very much for this place! God Bless You! Martin & Felipa Garcia Clarksville, Arkansas I was in North West Texas working this week and had a store in Groom, TX to visit. As I drove down I40 I saw THE most amazing thing I had ever seen. This cross standing TALL out in the middle of nowhere. I asked the store clerk about it and she suggested I stopped by. The way I was going I could only see the cross, not the stations, Calvary, the tomb, and the fountain. I am SOOOOO glad I did stop to see everything. It was VERY moving, words cannot describe the feeling I got when pulling up to the Cross and then the feeling I got while walking around to the stations and up to the Calvary. AMAZING!! Jennifer Martinez - Pasadena, TX Your web site is really nice and informative... Thanks so much! We stopped by the CROSS on Route 40 in TX in January 2000 on our return trip from CA to VA. It was a sight to behold. It is forever embedded in our minds eye. Thank you for Sharing Christ Jesus Our Saviour with Every Eye that pass'es by even if they do not stopped. God Bless You, Harold & Jean Layne VA Jlayne63@aol.com I have been there 5 different times and each trip is a blessing no one can imagine until they visit. My first time I saw the "Cross" from miles away lighting the sky. A beauty to behold. At that time it was the cross and tombstone for the unborn/aborted babies. Breath Taking. I asked so many questions about what was to come and how it started. What a precious mission. Each time I came back much more was done and more breath taking. In sharing with a friend tonight I mentioned we should pull it up on the web and see if it was there and sure enough. The music and "Peace" in this site is AWESOME. I will be back to see the new things I have not seen. I was told about the tomb and the angels coming and now it's there. You'll shed some tears, smile, pray and spend a time of "Peace" you don't believe can happen. Blessings of Love and Peace to those that made it all happen. We all know who led the mind and heart on this mission. Judy Ann Clark - judyann@multiband.tv I visited there a week after September 11. I was living in Trinidad CO, I was homesick after all the chaos of 9/11. My mom and dad wanted to pick me and my small children up, but we didn't know where to meet out in the middle of nowhere. Then I remembered the awesome largest cross I had seen on the way to Colorado. We met at the Cross. What a wonderful time we had. The Cross will always be in my heart. It brought me such great peace at a terrible time. THANK YOU!!!!! Amanda Burchfield Pryor, OK I just went by your site in Groom TX, and I have to tell you it was awesome...You have done something that everyone should know about.. God bless you Patricia Welborn Taft, California What a wonderful and inspiring sight to see!! We stopped here yesterday, Oct 10, 2004, on our way home from Amarillo, Texas to Oklahoma City. It was raining when we got there, But I am so glad we decided to get out and walk around even in the rain and cold weather. It is a beautiful place and we hope to come back another time! The Ward Family, Oklahoma We were coming back from Oklahoma City with our daughter and her family and stopped to see the cross. What a sight! I am planning to take my mother sometime soon. Thank You! emma@ptsi.net I can't express the wonderful blessing this cross was for me. :) I was a weary traveler and I got rest and so much more!! We were on our way home to Illinois and saw the great tornado. On the way to Nevada we saw it and made a plan to stop on the way back. Unfortunately it was early in the a.m. so we would have probably missed it if it wasn't for the sight of the "tornado" We went and saw the outside things and by the time we left the sun and "Son" was shining. :) I walked the stations with my Jesus and even reached out and wiped the tears (rain?) away as He has done for me so many times. What an experience!! He did it for me and here I was with the capability to wipe his tear away and cry with Him. I can't wait to order a book to find out the history of this cross. I inquired about it and one lady at a rest area explained quite a bit which I only grew more fascinated with. Thanks again and God Bless!!!! I just visited the Crosses last week and found them to be very inspiring. I have been telling everyone about them. Took lots of pictures. My husband and I were so blessed to be able to stop and see The Cross. We live in Vinton Iowa and I have told our church family about it and told them to go to the website. During the service today a woman asked me about the stairway to heaven that we saw. It touched her heart so much and she asked me if we had a picture of it. She wanted one and with tears she said, "I want to walk up that stairway". I don't know if you had a picture of it or not since we could only see it at night. If there is one could you let me know. I have to get one for this woman that loves her Lord so much. We pray for your ministry all the time and are so thankful that it is there. I don't ride with my husband all the time now, but when he has a delivery in Amarillo he stops by and we give as often as we can. We would love to see one built here in Iowa. What a blessing that would be. It's always a blessing to go to The Cross and truly feel the Lords prescience there. This was the most amazing thing I have ever saw. The closest thing to Heaven...Thank You very much for the obedience for God...I tell everyone about the website...And maybe soon my church will get to go...God Bless your hearts richly. Keisha,Oklahoma My friend sent this to me. I think it is so awesome that you would do this for all of us. I can't put it into words of how this all makes me feel. It was great. I would like to buy them if you do. My e-mail address is thebernards@powernet.org A niece told me about this website. I had taken some pictures and have since joined a church here in Ky. where I live and share with the members the experience of this. Thank you again. God Bless. Leonard Costanzo (wyaatt@bellsouth.net) beautiful cross and the photos of Jesus journey to the cross are awe inspiring. We need more sites like this to keep us thinking straight. Thank You very much for having the vision and completing it so all may see Jesus and his suffering for our sake. In God's Love, Carol K. Greer, Greenville, SC (Ckgreer@aol.com) Hello y'all, I had my awe-inspiring, if not frightening and hair-raising experience with the Cross of Groom, TX on the late night/early morning of Oct. 7th. I was driving my mother back to her family in Toledo, IA from Phoenix, AZ. Our goal was to make it to Oklahoma City on the first leg of or journey. Of course, we took I-40. Well, it was after midnight as we left Amarillo. Upon reaching Groom, it was cloudy and rainy. I started seeing what looked like a long, skinny funnel in the distance touching the ground with what looked like swirling dust at its base. I pulled off the highway near an overpass to stop and make sure that wasn't a twister. The last thing I wanted to do was run into a Texas twister in the middle of the night. I noticed that the clouds did not look like the type to spawn a twister. Thus reassured, we continued on warily and that's when we noticed that it was the Cross, backlit with a powerful spotlight that projected the cross' shadow into the clouds. After our heart-pounding encounter with the Cross, we continued on our safe journey to Oklahoma City, and eventually to Toledo, Iowa. Loring (fishbone3925@netzero.net) a friend of mine has a picture of this cross as his buddy icon for IM and i asked him what exactly it was and upon telling me it was the largest cross in the US, a google search led me here. I'm definitely taking a road trip sometime PS. I'm glad there's a memorial to all those lost to abortion. "As a former fetus, I oppose abortion" God bless you for your wonderful tribute and gift to all those who have seen and will see this site...we visited for the first time on our way home from NY to AZ. We'd passed the cross several years running and since we were going East most times, we thought we'd stop one time in the future...this November was 'that time in the future' for us...the weather was extremely windy and dark as we stopped and got out of our car. I had my camera with me and extra film...we had no idea what we were coming to see...we only saw the cross in passing and on occasion, people were there. We thought, perhaps, this was a war memorial...we had no clue...we could not make out the stations of the cross 'til we were 'there.' With the weather so cold and windy and darkened by cloud cover, one could imagine what it must've been like at Calvary on the day of our Lord's crucifixion. It was quite REAL for us and an experience we won't soon forget. We will forward this website and information to our family and friends to let them in on our much-treasured experience...you can be sure we will send our own donation and we're sure others of ours will as well...again...may He bless you all. You may email us at smore10144@cox.net. Sue & Ray Morelli I LIVE IN CLAYMONT DELAWARE AND I WAS VISITING AMARILLO, TEXAS AND MY FAMILY WENT TO SEE THE CROSS. In HIS name, Camela Hodsdon Florida My son and I visited your site 5 years ago and we were overwhelmed. I happened on this web site and will spread the word. This is something everyone should experience...they will be moved! Thank you for your momument to our Lord. Debi Fraser I am in awe of these images. I would love to visit. I am in awe of these images. I would love to visit. In 1987, my wife, Sue found the Lord. In Feb. 2000, Sue was diagnosed with Carcinoid cancer. That fall, we took a 6-week cross country trip and heading home along Rt. 40, found The Cross by accident. What an awesome sight. It was one of the major highlights of our trip, rivaling the grand canyon and other natural scenery. In Nov. 2003, Sue went home with her Lord, but we both remember the cross. Thank you for your work. Jim W. sweiveris@aol.com www.carcinoid.us Eight people from my church in Sherman,TX were on our way home from a mission trip in New Mexico. Our driver got on interstate 40 by mistake (we thought) and we saw this enormous Cross coming up out of the prarie. It was an incredible sight. We stopped and spent some time there. It was amazing. The feeling I got when I entered the empty tomb is indescribeable. Sometimes the mistakes we make end in a huge blessing. Thanks to all who have had a hand in the constuction of this wonderful place. Amy Hampton albarrett@texoma.net Hi, One of our center's volunteer went on a mission trip to New Mexico with her church last week. On the way back, their driver made a "wrong" turn ... they were needing to get to 287, but got on I40 going east. Of course, they saw your Cross, stopped, and went through it. She called me yesterday all excited and gave the website to go view what I have missed. It is so impressive and inspirational... especially the tombstone in memory of the unborn with Jesus holding a baby in His hands. Because that's what this ministry is all about... talking to girls about their Options... not their choice. So, I have a question for you. When did Project Cross begin and when was the date of the dedication. I see the pictures but could find no information about the dates. The reason for my interest is that I just read documentation reporting that 15 Planned Parenthood facilities have been closed since 1996 in the Panhandle alone. As you see, I'm wondering if there is any correlation between the Cross Ministries and the closing of the PP offices. Thank you for your response. Melva Kittrell Director Pregnancy Care Medical Center Sherman, TX 75090 903-893-9099 pccot@pregnancy-help.org December 7, 2005 Great work! I was thrilled to visit there last week. Fantastic! Just after the cross had been put in place and did not yet have lights, we were returning home late late one evening from a trip to TN and it was very dark and stormy. As we got close to Groom we could only see visions of the Cross as the lightening flashed behind the cross in the darkest of night. It was more than just awesome but greater still was the thrill to see the cross and not see my Jesus there and to know he had risen. We lost our son this Feb. and it is so great to see that cross and know that what ever he did wrong in this life, he did believe in Jesus, we know that cross tells us "Forgiven". What a place he is in now! Thank you so much for hearing your Master's voice and following his request. Prayers, Raylin Praise God for the work you all have done and for the way the Lord is going to use this for his glory. Thank you all for your love of God and your dedication to him. My e-mail address is: brenny44@nuwavenet.com. Sincerely, Brenda Johnson Groom is my birth place. I visit there as often as I can, and try to visit THE CROSS with each visit. I am always so inspired, even to the point of tears. What a wonderful place to lay your burdens. The feeling that I receive and that anyone that visits THE CROSS will receive seems to overpower any burden. This is a must see for all people, Christian and non-Christian alike. To see and to witness through thoughtful workmanship what God in the person of Jesus Christ did for us is breathtaking. Thank you Mike Thomas, and all involved in this tribute to God's love and indeed to all mankind. The Britten Family--Anadarko, Oklahoma g_britten@sbcglobal.net We want to say thank you for The Cross Ministry. My daughter and husband a few years ago while traveling through Texas discovered The Cross from the interstate and stopped to see and found the marvelous display. On our family ski trip to Pagosa, Colorado from home Fredonia, Ky. we drove through Texas so we could see The Cross and how moved we were and so thankful we did. It was dark at 3:00 AM in the morning of Dec 27 and not able to take picture of all and building not open to see about pamphlets so I would like to know if you have a pamphlet on The Cross you could mail me. I would like to know more about the construction and also pictures to show others and our church members and encourage any if ever near there to drive to see The Cross which is well worth anyone's time. What a hard thing for me to do, leave the only home i've known my whole life, all my family and friends. I didn't have a desire to stop anywhere on the way down the 40 except for gas, until i saw the cross and my heart lept with joy. I HAD to pull over and take a look. Thank the Lord it was free because I didn't have much extra in my budget. As I walked around I could feel the spirit of God all around and I had tears in my eyes. I was blessed. It gave me hope and strength to continue on my journey. Thank You for your ministry. I was told of the cross by a friend in a christian chat room one morning, immediately following the death od a very dear friend. I was given the web site and it reminded me that death is not the end for the believer, but only the beginning...Praise God !! GOD BLESS, SHEILA twobeecools3@verizon .net This had to be one of the most heartening experiences we ever had. DO NOT MISS THIS IF YOU ARE GOING 40 THROUGH TEXAS !!! PT and Diane FBSPTS@CS.com A friend told me about this cross. Someday I would like to see it. I hope this makes others stop and think of the real reason we have this cross. God Bless all. JBHild@aol.com Biloxi Ms I live in Oklahoma, and my husband and I have seen the cross many times as we have driven to the west coast. It has special meaning to me now because the cross was taken off of the Seal of the City of Edmond Oklahoma, because of lawsuits by athiests. These same people tried to have the large cross put up by on church property adjacent to I-35 in Edmond, Oklahoma removed, but failed. What a tremendous symbol this is for us all who believe. As Paul says in 1st Corinthians 1:18 , "The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God" (NIV) Cynthia Ray I have been to Groom, Texas before. It is a wonderful place to be. I really enjoyed myself. It was so much fun. Hi Dear Friends, I recently travled from Ca to Ky, My daughter had ask me to get a picture of the cross for her. We had been by it before and was amazed at how large it was. I did not know just what I was about to expeirence, I had only planned to get pictures from the interstate. Little did I know, God planned for a visit to the cross. I could see small figures around and decided to go by. My visit was amazing, the walk around the statues is one of overwhelming guilt, that Jesus died for ME why would he go through all that for someone like myself who is not worthy. Please forgive me for not being who I should of been to keep you from the suffering. What you suffered for me, I am thankful but ashamed. I was so touched by the presence of God, I have always known that he loved me and that Jesus died on the cross for me. Being there was like watching Jesus go through it all over again, I guess as he cries for the lost he is still giong through the suffering. I hope that you all get a chance to visit the cross. Jesus is Lord My husband and I were really touched by this truly magnificient place. May God continue to bless you in your ministry. The Oliver Family Lancaster, SC May, 2004 Outstanding!!! Can't wait to see it in person! Thank you, Rose Outstanding!!! Can't wait to see it in person! Thank you, Rose Rosea-bear@juno.com We live in Minnesota, however we have stopped and visited this Cross on two occasions. It is unbelievable, and makes every fiber of your body feel numb and humbled. It is so wonderful to live in this time in history and marvel at the accomplishment of man. Providing this wonderful Cross in the middle of the high plains of Texas giving all that pass the freedom to stop and say a few Prayers and keep in touch with the Sacrifice that Jesus made for us. I surely want to thank the Thomas family for their professional skills and dedication in making this possible. In Oklahoma on I-35, at one of the Edmond exits, there is a simular Cross, although smaller. I wonder if it was modeled after this one? Gscott28@juno.com I have visited the cross and for the life of me I couldn't remember where it was. I had stopped to take pictures of the different things there and I was so overwhelmed I couldn't take any more pictures. As I came to the station where Christ was upon the cross, I couldn't even look at his face=. I was so ashamed of my whole life. I will not say I went out and was saved and baptized immediately but I will say that that was a significant event in my life. I currently stationed in IRAQ and will be home in just a few days and I will be baptized as soon as possible. I want to thank the Lord for inspiring this awesome monument. Milburn Ray Matthews I love the cross that you put up at Groom Texas. When I'm up that way I'll be sure to stop by and see it in person. May God continue to bless you richly. ms. karen brooks I would like to see this beautiful place someday. A wonderful inspiration, I look at this site each morning before I start my day. S. Alexander, Bowling Green, Ky. Thank you for a beautiful site. We visited the sight a year ago and plan to visit again during the month of July 2005 giptoy@charter.net I have lived in Panhandle Texas forever and driven by the cross numerous times. The first time I visited a couple of years ago I was truly touched. I was brought to tears at its awesomeness. I visited again today on my way to Oklahoma. No words can begin to describe the feelings you have when you are there in the midst of such an awesome sight. The feelings of forgiveness, peace and humbleness are unbelievable. This cross and the ministries of the Thomas Family are truly what we need in today's society and times. It seems people so easily forget why we even exist. The statue of Mary holding Jesus is so m,ediatative and moving. May God bless you for your love and conviction. Sister Thomasina Marie Halloran, RSM sthomasina@stdots.org I have visited the Cross twice. The first time was on a cold night after making a trip to Kansas to check on my father. The experince was a very moving one and especially when I entered the tomb, which I was hesitant to do. My two daughters and I visited it on 3-14-05 and it was wonderfull to see the new additions that have been made. My oldest daughter has visited the Cross before, but it was the first time for my youngest. I could tell that it had an effect on her, especially the tomb she didn't want to go by herself. I would just like to praise and thank everyone that has been a part of this wonderfull gift to God and his people. Especially to the person that God touched to give the inspiration to make such a project.May God Bless all who have a part of this project and may God keep the people coming to be Blessed by this Spirtiual exhibit. Respectfully, The Weeks Family e-mail:mountendew@msn.com We visited The Cross on Friday March 11, 2005 and found it to be truly Inspirational and Awesome. Also enjoyed your Website. We serve an awesome God, and he works through his people in such beautiful ways. pink_flamingo98@hotmail.com My sister sent me the link to view the info about the "Cross" that was built in your city. Bless her heart for that... she has buried two sons and a husband and this site touched her very much. It has taken me a while to come back and sign your quest book for I was so moved and passed the link to friends first ,then went to pray. I ended up praying myself to sleep. I then came back to look at this site again! You see, I want to travel there to see this so bad... I hunger to visit the "Cross" and I pray it's God's will for me to make it there some day soon. May the good Lord provide my transportation and finances to make it there. AMEN! Bless you all who had a part in this project. twinoaksrmt@bellsouth.net This site is very peaceful, nice, provides happiness...and I am more then sure God loves it too. It was very nice to the statue of Jesus was beautiful we loved it so much we all have to be thankful for Jesus giving us live.Thank you again! Thank you Karen S. Salsberry in Kirksville Missouri 63501 As my mother and myself passed through the town of pampa, my mother and I looked up and saw the beautiful cross that was standing there next to the highway. The whole day it was cold and windy, cloudy and did I mention cold. Anyways, when we pulled up to the Cross all of a sudden the sun began to shine. I do believe it was the best part of our trip. I was in awe of the tour I went on around the cross. After we left the cross that day we saw a rainbow, which means, a promise and new beginning. It was truly a blessing seeing the cross. God bless! Rhea and Shelia of Durant, OK. I have been to the Groom cross many times, mostly at night when I am traveling in from or to Amarillo. It is an awesome wonder. God Bless You All. Your sister in Christ, Rhonda Pitts Sayre, OK smilie928@hotmail.com This was an awesome sight! with so much of God being taken out of our country, public schools and community's, it is powerful to see such a message to the world for all to see this monument of such a surpreme sacrifice that was made for us all. Thank you so much it has touched our families far and wide who have seen the cross by email or visited it in person, for some it has made them stop and think about God and for others a great reminder of the awesome debt that was made for our salvation. Again thank you and God bless your ministries.Angelean_dozier@msn.com Absolutely marvelous and wonderful. God bless us all. mariasaldanagarcia@yahoo.com I am truly moved by what God and you achieved, Mike Going through the Stations of the Cross on Good Friday has never been so moving. My children and I were very touched. The Divine Mercy fountain was amazing. Thank you for having the faith to build such a wonderful place on the Texas Plains. I had quite a treat while visiting the Cross. i was with another driver and we were on our way to Grand Junction, Colorado. to deliver 2 school busses to them, I had my Grandson with me in the bus. We had driven from Conway, Arkansas and stopped at the last rest stop in Oklahoma. I lost my purse while we were there. Our busses were governed at 55 miles per hour so it was taking forever. When we reached near the cross the other driver ask shall we stop and check this Cross out. We had passed it sever times in the past in our journies. so I radioed back to her and said yes. We then left the Hiway and pulled in and that's when I discovered that I didn't have my purse. Oh boy! It was 76 miles back to the rest area, and we flewas fast as my bus would go. All the while I prayed and cried at the thought of My money and ameripass drivers license and everything would be there, My grandson kept assuring me that we would find it. when we got there and starting searching trash cans hoping whoever had found it simply removed the money and tossed it into the trash, well no luck we found. we were headed toward one last trash can and a lady called to us that there was a note attatched to the wall with duck tape about a found purse we quickly returned to where she was and there was the note. Purse found check across Hwy at Welcome Center. so My Grandson and I proceeded to cross Interstate 40 to the Center and when we walked in the lady ask are you by chance looking for a purse, which I quickly answered OH YES> they had already put it in envelope to mail to me. everything was safe and sound nothing missing. I found out that a cleaning lady had found and turned it in. I tried to reward her but they insisted that she would not take anything because she was only doing her Job. We left and returned to the Cross to regain the other bus which we had left. and when we got there we we wet into the gift shop and I donated the money that I intended to give to the lady named Joyce to the ministry in Her name. I have never failed to stop at the cross in my Journies since and I told everyone about my story and that they need to visit the Cross. Show me the Cross and I'll find my way home has been with me since. Thank you so much for building th MIGHTY CROSS, I will forever be AWE of it and cherish my trip to the Cross R.Gayle Hallman and Grandson Jimmie Thanks so much forgot to add email with past post it is ghall3@aol.com and I have added this site to my favorites and plan on passing it on to others thanks again Was sent this web site from a good friend though e-mail this site is awesome, and I do hope I can be in Texas sometime and come to see this Ruth ruthmac@fidnet.com I haven't been to see it but it is very impressive and I am sure it will touch many lives. queenjean@cebridge.net I live in Texas and never heard of this. May God bless you, your family and all the workers that have been working on this. De Colores, Belinda Knipp bkrosebud67@sbcglobal.net Great Reminder of what Jesus did for us. Sandra Moore; skmoore@bwoodtx.com I have a story to tell you. I have never been in your area to see the cross, but my dad has, only a couple of days ago in fact. I never knew my Dad, he and my mother were never married to each other, they both had failing marraiges when they met. Dad is 86 years old, I am 58 years old and I decided a few weeks ago to make contact with him, nervously. When I tried to get his Arizona phone number, I wasn't able, so I left mine with people who knew him. Long story short, he phoned me himself promptly, and was delighted to hear from me. We talked by phone nearly everynight since then. He told me that on April 1st, he was going to leave Arizona and return to Wisconsin where I've lived all my life. He headed out as planned, and drove past your cross. He said he had to stop there, and called me from there in tears. He said he had to call me from that Holy Place. He had been bitter over my mother, and the fact that she never let either of us know (Dad or I) about our blood relationship and so we lost so many years. Today, here we are, him with prostrate cancer, and I in remission with breast/lung cancer, realizing there is no time for holding on to the past hurts, it is a time for mending fences. I know not where all this will lead, but I know it has to be good....because the Lord arranged it, I'm sure of that. Lastnight, my dad arrived in Wisconsin, and I went with my husband to meet him for the first time. It was wonderful... and it was then that he gave me your cassette about the cross. He told me he was compelled to stop there, and give thanks. He said he signed your guest book, and put in a prayer request for me. I listened to your tape lastnight, and again this morning. I want you to know, I too am in tears, and once again your cross has pointed to the Lord Jesus. God Bless You. LittleElk@Excel.Net This was amazing and beautiful. I only wish the writing had been in a darker shade so I could have read what was written also. Thank you! Gene and Pat Hale, Amarillo gene1631hale@webtv.net We were on our way home from Russellville Arkansas when we noticed the cross towering over the countryside. We were about 5 miles out and feeling drawn to it, were compelled to turn our car around and found our way to its location. We definetly felt His presence when touring the site. One of our pictures of the cross actually came back from the developers with a very red glow around the cross and we do not believe that this was an accident as none of our other vacation pictures had this. This will be quite a conversation page to add to our scrapbook. Thanks to all that were involved in creating this wonderful monument to our Lord. God bless, Dennis & Shirley St. John I just wanted to write and say thanks again for such a beautiful and sacred place! This is wonderful. annetteweisbrod@sbcglobal.net Fantastic!! kookieman@sympatico.ca Evangelist R. McLean, Toronto, Canada sandytilley@hotmail.com My visit to the Cross was breathtaking. We stopped there on Easter Sunday on our way to see the Grand Canyon and wanted to find a church. My son in law saw the Cross from the distance. We kept on until we found it. When My daughter, son in law and I walked up the stairs to the three crosses. We started to cry. We are Christians and this made the whole trip worth while. In fact this is the greatest topic of the trip. Even better than the Grand Canyon. Which is one of Gods Creations. Thank you so much for your work. WOW what a wonderful tribute to Jesus. Thank you. I am about to take a trip with my family to salt lake city (from austin, Texas) and we are going to make the "stations" a priority on the way! A friend told me about it and I can't wait to see it! Nichole Gess ngess@hotmail.com Delight Full Decor-Great site! keep up the good work. My Father helped build this! I am so PROUD to be able to say that. I can't think of a more beautiful way to be reminded of him. It's a blessing to find this website and be reminded of how I felt when I saw the Cross and the Stages of the Cross, the day of my Father's funeral (March, 2003). I miss him, and this has just given me a way to feel connect to him again, at a time when I need him most. Finding this site could not have been a coincidence. My father was not a church going man, but in the end, he believed in God and in moments like this. God Bless you all. God Bless my Father. Rhonda S. I
just had to write again and tell how wonderful the CROSS really is. I get
on line first thing of morning and check E-Mail, then go to the Cross
for inspiration the Music is wonderful and gives me strength to start
the day, I care for my elderly parents Mom 82 ( Altzheimers) and Dad 88.
Your Cross gets me through the day and I often come here in the late evening
just to reflect with the Cross. Thank you so much for your
website.
I am a long haul truck driver and I have been there several times now. And
each time is a more moving than the last. My husband, who is a non
believer, was even moved. I got there for spiritual uplifting and it helps
me through rough times. I got weather it is day or night, or sunny or
raining or snowing. When ever I got by I need the lift I go. The Lord will
provide. I am so thankful for this place. God Bless the builders. Thank
you and God Bless, The Rigdon Family-Machine Gun, Dutchess and Brutice
My sister and I are going to Oklahoma and will be

live in California. Thank you and God Bless, Elaine Killian
I have traveled across Texas many times
and each time I passed through Groom, TX I saw from the interstate, the
largest cross in the world. Each time I said, "I'll stop next
time". On June 30, 2005, my wife and I stopped. It was
awesome to say the least. After we arrived home, I discovered the web
page. It is a great site. I was glad to know more about the
construction and size of the cross. Even more important than that is the
testimony of God's love for man kind. Thank you for all that you have
done. I pray that the cross will be a beacon of light for lost humanity
for years to come. Jim and Margaret, Phoenix, Arizona
My husband is a truck driver on his way to California, when he saw this huge cross. He said he saw it for about 15 miles before he was actually at the site. The stopped to see the cross & it brought tears to his eyes. He called me to give me the e-mail address, so I could see it. Since I have sent the address to other family members.
Thank you for the blessings we received.
I have visited the cross in Texas a number of times, and what an inspiration it is. We just discovered a couple of weeks ago that my Mom has pancreatic cancer and the Dr's has already hooked us up with Hospice, so we know what is going to come, her nephew in Texas age 46 is also suffering from the same dreaded cancer, The Cross website brings me comfort as I go through my day of caring for my Mother and Dad. I go to this website and play the music. through out the day and it gives me great courage. Thank you so much for allowing me to share my heart felt feelings again and again. I am so glad I found your site on the web. I have to
tell you thank you.
My ex-mother-in-law, my 15 y/o son and I took off on an
adventure to Colorado Springs. We were so tired driving back, but
wanted to at least make it to Elk City. I was praying God send angels
to guide and protect us. We saw that beautiful cross in the dark night
and it was wonderful. I knew then that God had heard my prayers and
was watching over us.
I felt less tired and all of our spirits were lifted.
It was a gift from God on our long trip. Thank you so much for your
ministry!
Sincerely,
Jamie L. Copeland
P.S. My mother-in-law, Karen Copeland would like for
you to know how much that cross in the night meant to her, kklc@ionet.net
Traveling across country in our vehicle, we suddenly saw the
most beautiful cross. We pulled off the highway and took pictures of
the cross and decided to go to the site after seeing the three other crosses
on the hill. How blessed we were to view the beautiful scenes of the
days prior to our Lord's death and even step inside the man-made tomb.
How wonderful the vision you have shown to those of us who stumble onto this
"holy ground". Thanks for sharing your vision with us.
After arriving home, we pulled up your web site and can hardly wait to share
this with our friends at Wicker Street Baptist Church.

I visited the Cross on my way back from California and used about three
rolls of film. My friends that have seen the pictures are just amazed by
it. It was truly an awesome experience that I would definitely want to
experience again. I won't forget how I felt when I walked into the tomb.
It was wonderful. It is a magnificent work of art, talent, and God. Thank

On spring break 2004 my husband, 2 grandsons and myself came
by the cross on the way to our ski trip in New Mexico. I promised the
boys on our return we would stop but we were in a hurry to gt home and was
planning to go right on pass but our 5 year old said you promised us, so we
stopped. It was the most touching and best thing we could have done.

HI MY DAUGTHER, RENEE AND GRANDDAUGHTER ALEXIS CAME TO VISIT YOUR CROSS TODAY WHILE TRAVELING THUR AND IT WAS GREAT TO SEE AND HOPE WE CAN COME AGAIN TO SEE IT TOGETHER. THANKS ANITA JO WALTERS It was only by the grace of God that I found this web page. So hard to
put in words. It was the night of September 11, 2001. I had just received word that my father had a cardiac arrest and I needed to get to Las Vegas. All the flights were grounded so I had to drive. I was meeting my brother in Denton, Texas. I passed by the cross and the lights were shining on it and there were truckers parked everywhere underneath it. I felt so comforted. It was a very surreal experience. A dear and precious Sister in Christ Jesus, sent me your website , in which she and her husband just visited The Cross in Texas, and I was just in "AWE!" and still am when I viewed it!!!!! It is so breath taking!!!! I thought that when my husband and I went to see "The Passion of The Christ", was breath taking and we cried all the way through, this site is "AWESOME!!!" When we entered into The Cross Ministries, we could actually feel the Love of God in it. Someday my husband Jerry and I shall visit it in Texas, for The Lord is both our centers of our lives together. He is our very foundation to our marriage. For after all this time, we have both, through The Lord, found our true Soul mates. We shall continue to pray for You and Your family and this Ministry that God has bestowed upon You for His Glorious and Divine Kingdom, as He has bestowed upon us our Ministry, "The Living Waters." Thank You and God Bless! Love Continues in Christ Jesus, Your Sister & Brother, Linda and Jerry Smith Millville, N.J.
God Bless all involved in building this religious site in Texas. A message
to all visitors to say a prayers for the unfortunate people in desperation
from the New Orleans flooding. Let it be known how Lucky the people who
believe in the Cross of Love will always
be in God's hands. Rene Levassuer
Saw it from miles away the night of 9-10-05 and stood under it 9-11-05 (Sunday
morning). A silent message that shouts to everyone that will hear. A bright
light that draws people in. John

Dear Cross of Jesus:
You have now given us the Cross for the world to see and ask for forgiveness
of our sins.
Me, I'm sorry Jesus for the hurt, help me help other people visit your cross
and see how and why you died for us.

My wife and I had never stopped to take a look; Yesterday – Oct 1, 2005 I was lucky enough to play music on sight with our church group for about 2 hours for a special Cross vigil / mass in Groom; This place is breathtaking. We will be back soon! Thank You for following through with your dream, Randy Smith - Amarillo, Texas WOW, WOW, WOW, That is so beautiful. Now I will have to go and see it in person. What craftsmen , they are so blessed to do such beautiful works of art of our LORD JESUS. Thank you for this page. Gillie Niggeler, TX The Groom Cross has been such an inspiration to many of the truck drivers. It a reminder to them of The Lord Jesus Christ. I think your website is wonderful. Thank you for showing all the new things placed since I was last there. Rhonda Pitts smilie928@itlnet.net
My Husband, myself and our son a few years ago had the chance to see this
awesome site, we just could not believe our eyes what we could see the cross
so far away and it just kept getting bigger and bigger as we drove closer
and closer, we where traveling with our horses and stopped and gave them a
rest and you where so kind to let us take them out of the trailer to give
them some time out, it was like God had called us to stop and see. I can
tell you I cried the whole time we where there, and just could not take my
eyes off the cross while we drove down the road.
Thank you for doing so something so nice as to keep us in the site of the
Lord, Thank you and God bless you all.
I hope we get to travel down the highway again and can stop and see what
else you have added..

I was searching, just searching for the "cross". Something to put on our thank you sympathy card. My part to do with my family. We lost my daddy recently on Oct 1, 2005. I always believed 3 times my charm so when I was searching the third try came to your website. I thought this is beautiful I can see it even without leaving where I am at now, perhaps one day. And with that I thought, “there must be a message on this for me at least in here. I searched / read and looked at the bottom .. Viewer no 91437 .. I felt a little rain coming from my window. (It rained really, really hard when I lost my daddy.) The 9 is me (my birthday month) .. The 143 is I love you. The 7 is my dad’s number. I wanted to thank you just a bit for what my heart just felt. And with a little half smile and hope one day I can go to the cross, an entrance/ gate/ link, and give a message to where my daddy is with Jesus ,Mary, Our Creator, and the Holy Spirt. My daddy Silverio Dela Cruz Sincerely, Cielito Dela Cruz And Family Of Oahu Hawaii This is so beautiful and awesome.....It's on my list to visit, gotta see this is person. Thank you so very much. Missbuie in Julian, NC This is one of the most awesome displays of THE CROSS I have ever looked at. Definitely I would like to see.

May God continue to bless the hands of the Thomas
family. Your dedication and adoration of our God is to be commended as
you continue to glorify Him in your every endeavor. May you know
continual peace, joy, and His love as you walk in the footsteps of the
Savior. Your rewards will be greater then the works of our hands. May
you find continual inspiration in ministering to those who He has set
before you. I have been blessed by this joyful experience, even
though it was online. Sincerely Maxine Thomas
Thank
you both for your outreach for the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus the ETERNAL KING

The Prince of LIfe. I would just like to say what a wonderful site you have here. It has touched me in a very special way. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful experience with me and I thank my friend for sending me to your awesome web site. God Bless each and everyone who visits this site and a special blessing to the people who made this web site possible, thank you. God Bless From, Margaret in Australia.
This past week we were on our way to Santa Fe N.M.
when in the far distance we saw this wonderful Cross and marveled at
it's size when we finally reached it. What a great uplifting
feeling after many hours of driving. It was even more impressive when
we walked around, feeling the present of God. We only regret not
having more time to spend in the presence of GOD.

Thank
you for this wonderful healing experience. My husband, twin sister and I
were on our way from Kansas, after attending to my son's Funeral . He
had died unexpectedly and just devastated us. After stopping and walking
slowly through the site I knew I would survive and healing started.
"I wept as if I lost an only Son", meant a lot to me as I had
just lost my only Son on Oct.5, 2005. I took pictures of the various
Stations and of the Hollyhock. The blood red Hollyhock are beautiful and
when developed show even more than seen with the eye alone. This was a
very calming experience for me. Thank you so very much.. Carolyn, Santa
Teresa, N.M.
Thank you so very much for the love and beauty put into these works. I know Jesus is so pleased with everything that everyone has done to help those of us that just go on everyday thinking the same old things, doing the same old things, till we see something like this. Maybe it will be as awesome to others as it is to me. Sure does make ya stop and think. Thank you again!!!!! Ann "Lindsey Inspections" <lindseyinspections@earthlink.net> A friend and I stopped to see the cross during a long journey from Steubenville, Ohio to Flagstaff, AZ. We had no idea that the bronze statues of Our Christ were so mutinously done, along with the scriptures, Driving the rest of the way to Flagstaff all we talked about was the Cross. I just can't stop thinking about our visit and what an impression it made on my friend and me. Thanks for touching our hearts and soul with that amazing display of my Lord.

I
went to visit on a road trip with my family. It was very calming and made me
feel like I was connecting with Jesus. I had a beautiful experience. Thank you
and God Bless. Here are the pictures I took. They came out so beautiful
people ask me if they were postcards. I have them on my desk at work. You may
click here to see my pictures. We have been traveling from Iowa to OK, TX etc for over 20 years. We had never noticed the cross or it being built until 2 yrs ago. traveling west,
our daughter, granddaughter 5 & myself saw this beautiful, indescribable, incredible sight. It appears seemingly as in the middle of nowhere.
We have traveled abroad with the military since late 50's, this is comparable to so many wonders we have seen and experienced. It is almost as
thou one has been forgiven all sins and given the privilege to witness a glimpse of Heaven then allowed to continue being alive.
This past June'05 my husband, granddaughter now almost 5 and I stopped and spent time there. Thank-you for the gift.

What an awesome & inspiring display! If you're a believer in
Christ this will touch you deeply. Awesome website!
Fellow Christians, our nation is experiencing a moral decay like never
before. The secular world is rapidly gaining ground in their quest to remove
God and his likeness from all public venues, from removing prayer in school
to removing the Ten Commandments from public arenas. We can no longer sit
idly and watch the forces of evil trample over our religious freedoms which
this nation was founded upon. We must act now to stop this appalling
perversity. Here's a few things YOU can do to help
maintain this nation in God's good graces:
1. Read Pat Robertson's "The Ten Offenses". Besides
explaining how the Ten Commandments have become the "Ten
Offenses", he also lays out his guidelines on what Christians can do to
stand up for our religious rights. Checkout his website at www.cbn.org.
2. Contact the American Center for Law & Justice at www.aclj.org.
The ACLJ engages in litigation and supports attorneys who are involved in
defending the religious & civil liberties of Americans. This is a
non-profit organization that does not charge for legal services.
3. Contact WallBuilders at www.wallbuilders.com.
This is an organization dedicated to the restoration of the moral &
religious foundation on which America was built.
4. Pray for your elected officials. Contact them and remind them to ACT
according to the U.S. Constitution. Remind them that the First Amendment to
the Constitution NEVER intended to have separation of Church & State.
Simply, the Supreme Court has taken power unto itself because the
Legislative & Executive Branches of government have refused to act
against these judges.
It's time to take America back for Christ. One person CAN make a difference;
let it start with YOU right now. Remember: THE ONLY THING THAT EVIL
NEEDS IN ORDER TO TRIUMPH IS FOR GOOD MEN TO DO NOTHING. - - "If
my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and
seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and
will forgive their sins and heal their land" [2Chron7:14].
Blessings to all. jess.giron@sbcglobal.net.
Thank you very much for allowing
me the privilege of seeing this beautiful cross, my mother has been wanting
me to see this for three years and finally on a trip from Weatherford, OK we
decided to go. It was the most wonderful thing I have ever seen. The
presence of god was felt the moment I got close to the cross and entering
the tomb I felt the presence of the holy spirit right away. I am very
grateful for this opportunity and cannot wait to take my husband and son and
as many people as I can get to go there. May God bless you and everyone who
enters there . Thank you again for this wonderful experience.

Two years ago while I was passing through that beautiful land called Texas, on my way to Arkansas, I came in the presence of the cross. To use the word "awesome" (in the most biblical sense of God's awesome power, of course) would be an understatement. Truly the Lord has blessed the town of Groom Texas. Zachary Michalka

There are all sorts of visible artifacts that represent the Christ, the Son of God, but this one is uniquely different, drawing people from miles away. How blessed we are to have people like you who have taken extreme steps to accomplish such a marvelous attraction, the cross, the symbol of the risen Jesus. If only more of the lost would come to understand the life the empty cross portrays and Jesus' suffering for us. John Sedory, leoj@isp.com

FRIENDS
BENEATH THE CROSS,
Very
thankful for the message of the heart-touching cross
along I 40, sent us by my brother and sisterinlaw in
mexico. We have not been there, but the
liturgy of many who actually viewed the Cross, is a
hopeful sharing in a hurting world. There is a
clay cross hanging above the computer, quite visual
with red marks on Jesus' arms and feet, to remind us
of the "burning love of Christ crucified",
to borrow some words of Saint Bonaventura, the person
who continued leading the Franciscan Order after St.
Francis' crossing over.
How
gracious of your reminding many pilgrims along life's
road of hope in Christ's self-giving love and
presence. Muchas Gracias.

We visited the cross
at Groom just a year ago on a trek we made
with my brother on Route 66 from New Mexico
to Chicago. That wonderful cross stood
out on the horizon for miles, and though we
did not think we had time to stop, we did
stop and walked around the stations of the
cross, then up the hill to the three
crosses. I had had double knee
replacement in January. This journey
was kind of my emancipation proclamation, as
I drove all 3500 miles of it. The
cross at Groom was one of the most special
highlights of our trip. We were
revisiting photos of it just a few days
ago! It is an amazing testament to the
Lord! The Thornburgs

What an AWESOME ministry you have!... I look forward to visiting it someday
soon.
As a Catholic, I never see much of the Stataion of the Cross so this is the frist on the open road. I go to them at church all the time and they are so up lifting knowing what Christ did for us giving his life for us and caring the cross and then hanging from it as they beat him until we could not even know who he was. This is so for Thomas did not know him until he showed him his hands and the wholes in them. so the movie Passion is almost to the point were they beat him so. I thank you for this and if I get out that way were my grand father was from I will stop and see this. Thank you so much. Ann Davis Tuton.

Awesome
idea………….I just hope folks do not worship the structures,
but, instead the message you all bring to this darkening world
and, even more, especially the Messenger. I will get with my wife
and we will pray about our support. So many Godly
organizations are asking for money. It almost breaks us
sometimes (but, we are not taking it with us
anyway………….right!). May
God truly bless His/your message by this project(s),

WOULD LOVE TO BE ABLE TO SEE IT SOME DAY. BUT DOUBT THAT WILL
HAPPEN ANYMORE AT MY AGE. SEVERAL YEARS AGO, WE WERE
TAKING A TRIP TO CA, AND WE CAME ACROSS A LITTLE TOWN IN ARIZ,
CALLED YARNELL, AND SOME LITTLE MEXICAN BOY HAD GONE UP INTO THE
MOUNTAINS AND STARTED IN CARVING OF THE LAST DAYS OF CHRIST. HE
WAS WORKING ON THE LAST SUPPER WHEN WE WERE THERE. IT GAVE YOU
AN EERIE FEELING TO LOOK INTO THE TOMB AND SEE THE SHROUD, BUT
THERE WAS NO BODY, AS HE HAD ALREADY RISEN FROM THE DEAD. THE
YOUNG MAN WAS 13 YEARS OF AGE AT THAT TIME. I DON'T REMEMBER
WHAT HIS NAME WAS, BUT HE WOULD ABOUT 64 OR 65 BY NOW. IT GAVE
YOU A VERY HUMBLE FEELING SUCH AS THE PHOTO ALBUM OF "THE
CROSS" THAT YOU PUT TOGETHER FOR YOUR FRIENDS. THANKS YOU
SO MUCH FOR YOUR WONDERFUL WEB SITE. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND I
WILL REMEMBER YOU IN MY PRAYERS
THESE PICTURES JUST TOUCHED
MY SOUL. AS MY GRANDCHILDREN WOULD SAY. AWESOME! THANK YOU
FOR YOUR FAITHFULNESS TO BE OBEDIENT TO THE LORD. WHAT A
WITNESS FOR THE WORLD TO SEE. I PRAY THAT ONE DAY I WILL BE
ABLE TO GO THERE IN PERSON.
GOD BLESS ALL THAT WAS
INVOLVED IN THIS PROJECT.

The cross is also a
spectacular sight from an airplane. As I was
flying from Amarillo to Dallas on a Southwest

following Hwy 287 over Clarendon. I could see
the cross from the air above the Clarendon. I
thought that was pretty neat!!

I'm so happy to
see that you have a web site. Our last visit was in May

pictures but the batteries in my camera quit working.

A friend of mine sent me your website link. Her son ,Jeff, had taken a beautiful picture that you posted on your website. I remember the very First time I visited the cross you were not quite finished with all the stations. The work is absolutely phenomenal. Walking around to each station Jesus walked on the way to calvary, I became so weak. I touched the face of Christ, I wept, I felt so unworthy. Can you imagine the suffering Our LORD went through for us. What a precious gift of "LIFE" Jesus gave to us, just for the asking. Groom was such a perfect place for your gift. I think that whoever stops to see could never walk away the same. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth. And every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. I feel that your Cross is one of the closest places to heaven on this earth. Thank you so much for all the beautiful work, and sharing your love for the Lord. Thank you for all you have done for the whole world to see. A friend in Christ, Thank you again, Sally Silverton TX "Sally" <sjg1224@midplains.coop>
I must confess that I
never knew that such a place existed as Groom, TX.
The email that my

how the cross was built, the beautiful stations of
the cross warmed my heart with the love of my

I wish there would be

State. We need more and more of Groom TX sites in
this world.
Thank you,

The Holy Spirit is so strong, just viewing your site! I will suggest to our pastor that our church take a trip there, to view it in person! We live here in Texas and I had never had any idea that such a place existed! Thank you so much for building and maintaining this Holy Place. stephenson8002@aol.com
I want to tell you how
beautiful I thought this was...........what a
sight to see as we topped the
hill of the vast desert. We were by there
before the last 2 stations were there and the
large center was being built. We were not
able to stay to see the cross lite at night I am
sure that is a site to see.
They have done a beautiful
job in the additions. We hope to get back
there again to see more of the finished job.
We are about 3 hrs. away. The trip would
be worth it.
Thank you for this site.
We will keep checking it..

This is amazing.. I hope one day to be able to come the see this in person. thanks for sharing this wonderful sight. PJ Vining Birmingham, AL I
just wanted to write you a note to tell you
about our visit to your beautiful cross, we
were just driving back from Bowring,
Oklahoma 2 days ago (Nov. 19,2005) from
visiting my dad, who is very sick, (his
cancer has come back and he doesn’t want
any more chemotherapy, radiation or
operations). We had made this journey to see
my dad (maybe for the last time) to share
the gospel with him, to tell him about our
Savior and how much He loves him and how He
gave His life for him. Well, we visited,
caught up on our lives, supped together and
had a great time but, the subject really
never seemed to get around to the cross. I
was praying that God would give me the
opportunity, the words and the boldness in
which to share… but it just didn’t
come... And then, it was time to leave…
the goodbyes, the kisses, the hugs, the
final pictures and feelings of not knowing
if we’ll see each other again, possibly
not even in heaven one day… well, I was
feeling so down in spirit, like a failure
and then we happened upon your cross… I
had to stop, so, we pulled over our rented
motor home and got out to take pictures…
for 2 hours or more! Then, when we were
ready to leave… our motor home wouldn’t
start! We were literally broke down at the
foot of the cross… which is where we are
supposed to go when (in life) we feel
“broken”. All the way home I was
wondering what the significance of breaking
down right in front of your cross was
supposed to be…. and then it came to me as
I was reading your story on the website… I
am supposed to share this site with my
dad… maybe some more “seeds” will be
planted… maybe God will speak to him
through your story… I don’t know… all
I know is… thank
you for listening to that still small voice,
for being obedient and not giving up… for
your perseverance and love for the lost.
With your prayers, maybe one more might be
saved. Love in Jesus, Marcy in Lakeside,
California~ Hello and a great big God Bless you to all!!!! My husband, four little boys and I visited this beautiful place in the summer of 2005. We were on our way home from a trip to the Grand Canyon. This was AWESOME and we were so very glad that we made it a part of our trip. We could see it from the interstate, but that doesn't compare to actually seeing it upclose and being able to walk thru and experience it in person. Thank you and please keep spreading the word of the Lord Jesus Christ to a world in need. Hello
and God Bless. I have been to the Cross in Groom twice while
crossing the country in a 18 wheeler, at that time Buddy
Pane was a guard there. I will never forget having the honor to
see this cross. We parked the 18 wheeler on the property
on a cold winter night and at 3am I walked thru the whole area
and I can't explain what I felt. At one stage of the Cross my
Instincts was to lift the Cross up off Jesus when he fell for it
seemed so real even at 3am. I walked the steps to Calvary
and felt the Lord was staring down at me from that Cross.
My Husband wanted so bad to visit and see this cross for himself
but he wasn't able to. He died Jan 3rd 1999 sitting
at the dining room table reading his Bible. He did get to see
the post cards I brought home before he died. He is with the
Lord now,
Like I tell people, if going to Groom Texas and seeing this
Cross doesn't touch your heart nothing will. God Bless all
of you who built this wonderful tribute to the Lord..

to us and we have heard nothing in the news or
anywhere about it. We will be making a trip to

view it over the Internet. I sent the e mail to

you have done a great work for God in this
project. I cannot even come close to a cost of a

tremendous. But then when you think about it, we

I can
only say Thank You Lord for giving us, such a wicked,
sinning bunch, your only son so that we may be saved!
I look at the stations and see the anguish on The Lord
Jesus Christs' face and wish that I could take away
some of his pain. But I know that I am nothing but a
sinner and am not worthy of relieving some of Christs'
pain... But, Lord--I wish I could. I will be in
heaven soon, and I look forward to expressing my
thanks to The Lord myself. I am forever thankful for
his gift of eternal life and wish that we could have
received that gift without such a beautiful man
sacrificing himself for us. I can't seem to put
into words what I feel, but I tried.
Thank you Lord,

God in the Details The
Vietnam Vets’ little sis What a beautiful way to start Good Friday. This was the first e-mail I opened this morning. The pictures were beautiful and awe-inspiring, We hope to travel from Houston to Groom to see it next summer. May Our Lord bless you in your ministry, Walter O. Huffman
My
husband and I saw the cross as we were
headed to Arizona in October, 2004. It was
truly an awesome experience. When we
first saw it we anticipated it would be just a
few miles down the road. The visibility
was excellent that morning and it must have been
a good half hour we kept our eyes on the cross.
It was beyond all our expectations that it was
so huge. We were expecting it to be the
size of a utility pole. We came back home
the same way so to get a closer look. We
hope to go back again when we aren't on such a
tight schedule and spend more time when the
visitor's center is open and take some pictures.
God
bless each and every person involved with this
fabulous project.

Found the site very inspirational. Just what we need during this Holy Season when the world problems and religious wars are on the increase. We should all pray for the conversion of Moslems like we prayed during the cold war for the conversion of the Soviet Union and Communism. Just made my first visit to this site. It surely won't be my last. Beautiful!
What a day to have
discovered this awesome cross. I
will make the journey someday but for
the time being I will keep this site
open
to enjoy.

A very dear friend sent me this website to view. All I have to say is THANK YOU JESUS, THANK YOU JESUS, THANK YOU JESUS. Yes we do more of the wonderful Cross over all of America. Back to the country our forefathers wanted it to be. Love for our Heavenly Father. "bobbie rodgers" <bobjan98@yahoo.com>
These pictures are great, my
husband spent about 2 months in Groom Texas as a young man, visiting the
Britten family, We visited them as a family some years ago. Wish we could
see this in peron, but we cannot go that far now that we are elderly.

The Cross is just a
wonderful place - thank you for all the time and effort to
create this beautiful sanctuary.
We were blessed to have a
beautiful day to visit and I think this picture expresses
that.
Thanks again and may God

This
is truly amazing. I cried through most of the
pictures. When I read you were in Groom Texas
immediately
I thought how appropriate. The Word says the Body of
Christ is the Bride of Christ and Jesus is the Groom.
Praise God. Smaycumber@aol.com

I really enjoyed this
site. I saw all the hard work that went into
arrecting this cross and I think it is a moving experience
to see it on the site. I hope to see this cross when
we visit Amarillo. I am very glad that a family
member shared this website with me. I cant wait to
see the cross at night. I already had a very moving
experience and I know that seeing it in person will be
just awsome. Thank you all for making this
experience for me!!!!!!! Debbie-Illinois

Some Atheist group is trying to get our town to remove our lighted cross from top of our water tower, what a joy it would be to have one of this to replace it. This is AWESOME. "Marcia Davis" <davismb@shands.ufl.edu>
My name is Ryan Ray and I

check out the cross a lot. Every time I get to
feeling like I am not doing something right I
always try to make a trip to the Cross and
confess my sins. Each time I come back to
Amarillo a changed man & I am thankful. To
the crew that built that lovely cross. Thank you
from the bottom of my heart. Also to the
Ministries may god bless each of you. Hopefully
when I am back down there I will support the

My
grandparents live in Amarillo, so I hope to
visit there again soon. Our 3 year old
daughter had a heart transplant 1 1/2 years
ago, so travel has been limited. The
next time my husband and I, along with our
two daughters are in that area, we will stop
by and look at the amazing work of God.

You
have created a wonderful tribute to our
Lord and Savior...I thank Him for your
devotion to Him, a quality we see fading
in our world, but with people like
yourselves, we know hope is still
alive. There is a place near Uniontown,
Pa. about 8 miles from
Shanksville,Pa. where flight 93 crashed
on 9-11, that has a the 3 crosses on a
very high hilltop and at night it is
lighted and most beautiful..My husband's
job takes him there evrey week and we
got pictures from there and I just know
the wonderful feeling we get when
viewing a site such as this! I will
certainly pass this site along to
friends to just see the beauty and
listen to your beautiful music!
Thank you, Rita/Pa.
